Tanzania Telecommunications Company limited has over 20 years in the Telec~\f1munication Industry and has been the traditional provider of both Voice and Data services to Tanzanians. Recently, TICl has emerged to be the solution provider regarding fixed and wireless solutions to other telecoms operators and to Tanzanians at large.
With a view to increase its presence in the market and drive the company to new performance levels in all aspects of business to her customers, TTCl invites suitable candidates wishing to be part of the TICl team and a leader within Tanzania's own communications company by applying for the position mentioned herein.
Aspiring candidates must be energetic and self driven, with relevant professional qualifications and experience and must demonstrate effective team building spirit and ability to fit in the dynamics of competitive environment
The successful candidate will be responsible in ensuring TTCL is mandatory operating under regulatory licensing requirements which will always support its business endeavor and keep on executing Solutions to TICl business aspects as well as being a contributing member of the TICL team.

Position Title: Public Relations Officer (Communications)
Reports to: Public Relations Manager
Location: HQ

Objective:
To provide a very valuable assistance that will support to build and sustain strong business relations with Government, media and to the general public aimed at promoting TTCLs corporate image.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
To effectively assist on establish and sustain strong business relations with the Government, Media and the general public aimed at promoting TTCL corporate image.
To provide a very strong assistance to the Public Relations Manager in all Public Relations and corporate communication matters aimed at portraying positive image of TTCL to the public.
To assist in the organization and drafting of corporate communication and press releases aiming at building strong business relations to the public
To strongly follow up with the media on matters related to TICl and ensuring appropriate coverage
To assist in developing and implementing effective internal communication aimed at informing employees of key developments and issues happening in TICL.
To upkeep all communications including public relations related documents and any other relevant publications in order to ensure are in safe custody for easy reference.
To assist the Public Relations Manager to liaise with Commercial teams on the development, execution of suitable Corporate Social Responsibility programmes and to support community development initiatives that are in line with TTCLs business objectives.
To provide a strong assistance in coordinating, organizing corporate events and managing protocol activities, speech writing, dfficial events and handling of official company guests.
In collaboration with Information Services department, assist the Public Relations Manager to ensure the company's website is used effectively as a communication tool to disseminate and receive information from employees.
Good understanding of business issues and their linkage to public
Computer literacy with good knowledge in basic software applications.
Key Accountabilities:
To support existence of effective and strong business relations with Go.yernment, mass media and the general public.
To assist on implementation of effective internal and external communication in line with Company strategy,  policies and guidelines.
Timely reporting of public relations is ues for attention and or decisions. 4.Cost reduction and adherence to the udget allocated to the section.
Profile/Key Competencies:
University Degree in Mass Communication/Public Relations or equivalent qualifications from recognized
institutions. Postgraduate qualifications will be an added advantage.
Three (3) years experience in public relations or a similar field preferably in a commercial organization.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
High degree of integrity and ethical value.
